VINEYARD, Sacramento County — Families in the unincorporated Vineyard community have a small public park at 8350 Grand Cru Drive with playground equipment, open grass, picnic space, shade and a barbecue area.
The Southgate Recreation and Park District’s official directory identifies Vineyard Park as a 1.7-acre neighborhood park built in 1999. The site is north of Calvine Road, between Elk Grove–Florin and Waterman roads, in a residential subdivision known as California Vineyards.
What visitors can do
The small park is designed mainly for local play, casual picnics and passive open space rather than large-scale organized sports or private events. A shade structure and picnic tables do not guarantee exclusive use, and larger gatherings may require approval from the district.
Which government operates it?
Although some nearby streets have Elk Grove mailing addresses, the Southgate Recreation and Park District is the relevant park operator. Residents should report damaged equipment or other concerns using the district’s published contact information rather than assume a particular city department maintains the site.
Before planning a major gathering, verify current hours, rental rules and any temporary maintenance closure. The park’s general amenity listing is not a live indication that a play structure is open at this moment.
